KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Melissa Magstaadt, Secretary of the South Dakota Department of Health
Dr. Sandra Ogunremi, DHA
Melissa Magstaadt has been involved in South Dakota healthcare for over 30 years. She is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and co-owner of Quick Care SD. She served in the South Dakota House of Representatives from 2011 to 2014 and was a member of the House Committee on Health and Human Services. Her education includes a Master’s in Science from South Dakota State University with a focus as a family nurse practitioner. She also has a Master’s in Business Administration from Mount Marty University. She graduated from the Great Plains Public Health Leadership Institute at the University of Nebraska and recently completed her fellowship at the University of Arizona’s Center for Integrated Medicine. Magstadt is a born and raised South Dakotan residing in the northeast part of the state.
Dr. Sandra Ogunremi, DHA, is the Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Monument Health, overseeing various initiatives and services since 2008. She spearheaded efforts that led to the Rapid City Hospital’s recognition with the 2023 Carolyn Boone Lewis Equity of Care Award. Dr. Ogunremi, a repeated honoree by Women we Admire as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in Healthcare, is a respected speaker and authority in her field. She holds a Doctorate in Health Administration from Central Michigan University and is certified in diversity management. Also an ordained minister and author, Dr. Ogunremi has a global teaching presence and is committed to fostering inclusive organizational cultures. She has been married since 1993, and they have three adult children.

Tracy Palecek, LPC – MH, QMHP
Tracy Palecek, LPC – MH, QMHP is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Human Services professional who has a passion for supporting and encouraging those brave souls in the helping professions. She understands that working with people means dealing with complex problems and complex emotions. Tracy has many years of experience working with trauma and is also an Adverse Childhood Experiences Master Trainer and Fellow. She is passionate about helping people overcome tough circumstances on their journey to healing. Tracy states, “I have been blessed to work in Human Services and Mental Health for over 20 years. I have a passion for helping people reach their goals and I have been lucky enough to do this as an advocate, program developer, disaster relief responder, community organizer, mental health therapist, and mentor. I love to work within systems to create change and help people get positive outcomes, both in their work and their lives.”
