Register for Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall prevention is an evidenced-based beginner introduction to the mind/body practice of tai chi developed by Dr. Paul Lam and the Tai Chi for Health Institute, designed to provide pain relief, reduce fall risk, improve balance, muscle strength and flexibility in weekly workshops. This program follows “Sun style” tai chi consisting of slow, deliberate movements which are great for beginners and those with arthritis but is open to anyone. May be performed seated for those who cannot safely perform movements standing.


In-Person

  • Introductory Tai Chi program- no experience or skill required!
  • 1 hour sessions once per week for 16 weeks or twice per week for 8 weeks
  • Led-by certified CPR and Tai Chi for Health Institute leaders
  • Warm-up, core and extension movements, cool-down
  • Certificate of Completion for attending at least 11 out of 16 sessions
  • You will be asked to complete a survey before and after the workshop
